Mr. Fisher is a native San Diegan with a broad geographic history in the County. Born in Coronado (before the Bridge) the family "went rural" and moved to the North San Diego County area of Twin Oaks Valley. It was all about agriculture; the 8 acre property included citrus, avocados, corrals for the livestock and our Arabian/Welsh horse "Pandora". Moving down the road a few years, Mr. Fisher's real estate career began with top San Diego real estate developer Christopher "Kit" Sickels. At this time, the Sickels Group owned and occupied the Sixth Avenue Medical Center. That building has since been demolished as the Sixth and Palm location is the site of the ultra-luxury highrise "Park" currently under construction. The Sickels Group owned and renovated the US Grant Hotel and was positioned as a major player in the multi-family housing market throughout the Southwest. For four years, Mr. Fisher held the position of Property Manager for Southern Pacific Railroad, overseeing the railroad's real estate interests in Riverside and Imperial Counties as well as industrial properties, longitudinal right-of-way and signboard license agreements throughout the State of Arizona. For a total of eight years, Mr. Fisher served as an Asset Manager for Catellus Development Corporation. In this capacity, Mr. Fisher was responsible for real estate management, including leasing of special purpose properties, such as wireless communication towers along Interstate 15 (Barstow-Las Vegas corridor) and wind power generation along Interstate 10 (San Gorgonio Pass/Palm Springs area) In 1997, Mr. Fisher worked with a private conservation group, members of Congress and the Department of the Interior to complete the largest exchange of private land with the Federal Government as the expansion of the Mojave National Preserve and Joshua Tree National Monument included 300,000 acres of Catellus' land which precluded the BLM from effective management. He has held a California Real Estate Sales License since 1981 and has been licensed as a California Real Estate Broker since 1998. He is also a member of the Institute of Real Estate Management and the National Association of Residential Property Managers and has earned the Accredited Residential Manager (ARM) designation from IREM. Mr. Fisher currently resides in the Little Italy area of Downtown San Diego and he is a member of Rancho Riding Club in Rancho Santa Fe. Favorite Charities are Helen Woodward Animal Center, San Pasqual Academy, Labradors + Friends and Ocean Discovery Institute.
